Career and Practice Opportunities
Monroe Clinic is a dynamic, mission-driven health system sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes. Combining a rich history and a focus on innovation, Monroe Clinic is a regional referral center drawing 50 percent of its patients from outside its home county. Over 1,000 patients per day from throughout southern Wisconsin, northern Illinois, and points beyond are served by the hospital, the clinic, and its branches.
The main clinic facility, completed in November 1993, occupies 114,000 square feet and houses some of the 80+ physicians in our multi-specialty group. Branch clinics are located in Albany, Blanchardville, Brodhead and New Glarus, Wisconsin, and in Freeport, Lena, and Durand, Illinois. Though subspecialty care is available at some branches, the focus there is on family-centered primary care.
The hospital has 100 Level II acute-care beds, serving medical, surgical, orthopaedic, pediatric, intensive care, and obstetrical patients. A walk-in care service operates in conjunction with the Emergency Room. Long-range facility plans are constantly reviewed and updated and improvements implemented.
