When John A. Schindler, M.D., co-founder of Monroe Clinic, made the public claim that people’s emotional well-being went hand-in-hand with their physical health, it was a ground-breaking concept. As the sponsors of Monroe Clinic and the founders of Monroe’s St. Clare Hospital, the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes (CSA) share the understanding that people’s health care needs run deeper than any blood test or x-ray can portray.
