Pharmacy Residency

Monroe Clinic's PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with an emphasis in ambulatory/primary care was established in 2007. The residency's primary goal is to prepare competent pharmacist clinicians, capable for any of the following: work independently in a clinic setting in collaboration with physicians; adjunct faculty positions; PGY-2 training.

Throughout the year, the resident will work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners and pharmacists, providing support to physician colleagues and assisting with pharmacist-run pharmacotherapy clinics. The program has a strong teaching emphasis, including a learning experience as a clinical instructor in the pharmacotherapy lab at the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and completion of a teaching certificate program.
