Monroe Clinic informed five subcontractors of their winning bids to work on the Clinic’s Northwest Addition expansion project. The firms selected were drywall contractor Hallmark Drywall, Inc., (Madison, Wis.); plumbing contractor Hooper Corporation, (Madison, Wis.); fire protection contractor J.F. Ahren Co., (Madison, Wis.); HVAC contractor North American Mechanical Inc., (DeForest, Wis.); and electrical contractor Faith Technologies Inc., (Sun Prairie, Wis.) who will partner with PDC Electrical Contractors, (Monroe, Wis.).

Monroe Clinic Lifts Hospital Visitation Restrictions

Since December of 2009, Monroe Clinic has restricted hospital visitation to those over age 13. According to the Wisconsin Division of Public Health, the second wave of H1N1 pandemic is resolved and the influenza illness remains low statewide. Therefore, Monroe Clinic is lifting its visitation policy in the hospital building, including the family birth center.

Dr. Townsend provides well-woman and obstetric care to women of all ages. She received her medical degree from Brown Medical School in Providence, R.I., and completed her residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.

Green County Health Department, Monroe Clinic Begin Vaccinating Everyone for H1N1

Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services opened up the H1N1 vaccine to anyone wishing to receive it. Previously, the vaccine had only been available for high-risk groups. Throughout the flu season the Green County Health Department and Monroe Clinic will continue to partner to vaccinate those who want to be protected from the H1N1 virus.
