Hey Students -
What is a respiratory therapist? What do they do? What about a laboratory technician…or a physical therapist? What happens in the operating room? Who works there? You can get the answers to all of these questions and others at Club Scrub, Monroe Clinic’s health careers club for 8th grade students.
Club Scrub is an after-school program located at Monroe Clinic's Main Campus. It is designed to spark interest in health-related careers among 8th grade students through informative, hands-on activities. Students will have the opportunity to speak with healthcare providers and try things out in a variety of hospital departments, including: Respiratory, Lab, Radiology, Nursing areas, Surgery, Therapy departments and Cardiology.
The primary goal of the program is to increase awareness of health-related professions and the numerous career opportunities that are available in the health sciences. Club Scrub will be a great opportunity for students to acquire this knowledge from Monroe Clinic employees.
Light snacks are provided prior to each session. Students must provide their own transportation to the Monroe Clinic campus in Monroe, WI.
