Impact of SSM Sponsorship on Insurance Plans

Impact of SSM Sponsorship on Insurance Plans

Updated: January 17, 2018

The change in sponsorship is  final.

Monroe Clinic would like to take this opportunity to inform and reassure our valued customers that we will work diligently to help you navigate through insurance questions. As an organization, we continue our commitment to exceptional health care and exceptional experiences—working to make this transition as smooth as possible for all.

There is no need for current Monroe Clinic customers to be concerned or motivated to find a new health care “home” based on their insurance carrier.

Monroe Clinic works with a large list of insurance carriers*. These carriers include (but are not limited to):

  • Dean Health Plan
  • Quartz Health Solutions (formerly Unity Health Insurance)
  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • The Alliance
  • United Healthcare
  • WPS
  • Humana
  • Cigna Health
  • Coventry Health
  • Group Health Cooperative of Eau Clare
  • Aetna Health Care

*Monroe Clinic is an in-network provider for many, but not all plans offered by these insurers. Always check with your insurance carrier to learn details of your coverage and the most up-to-date list of in-network providers

Provider and insurer agreements are negotiated to ensure smooth transitions for patients in the event a provider will no longer be included as in-network.   This includes ample notice as well as provisions to ensure care is not negatively impacted by changes in the provider status.

We are family, neighbors and professionals taking care of our communities—one patient at a time. A change in sponsorship will not change that.
