Monroe Clinic Construction Rolls Through Summer

Monroe Clinic Construction Rolls Through Summer

Updated 8/7/18

Summer in Wisconsin is a busy time for construction, and the work on our new medical office building is no exception. Some of our most recent progress includes:

  • Yellow air and vapor barrier is being sprayed, covering purple exterior sheathing
  • Old 5th street driveway is leveled out
  • Stud walls are forming on interior, giving a feel of room locations
  • Window blocking installed for placement of windows
  • Concrete wall cutting for tie in connection between the clinic and new building has been completed
  • Brick has started on the exterior of the north side of the building

In the coming weeks, roofing will continue, pushing the milestone of getting the building enclosed closer. HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical will continue installing equipment, and clerestory framing will showcase the distinct front of the new building. The new retaining wall on 22nd Avenue will begin. Brick will continue to be placed, covering the purple and yellow exterior.

Throughout construction, the eastern portion of 5th Street will remain closed. Patients with appointments in Family Medicine, Employee Wellness and visiting the Emergency Department will continue to use the parking and entrances on the north side of our campus; entering from 4th Street. All other patients will park south and west of the hospital building and enter through the hospital entrance, which faces 5th Street. Need additional entrance or parking information?
