Monroe Clinic is excited to offer a Rural Family Medicine Residency program to foster the development of physicians committed to rural practice in the Midwest. As a resident physician, these providers offer comprehensive, individualized care for all members of the family - men, women, children - through all ages and stages.

What is a resident physician?

A resident physician is a physican continuing their training who has graduated from an allopathic (MD) or osteopathic (DO) medical school. Residents spend three years of post-graduate training to learn family-centered care in a rural setting. Resident physicians are supervised by board-certified physicians at Monroe Clinic.
