Sanders Named to Wisconsin Hospital Association Board

Michael Sanders, president and CEO of Monroe Clinic, has been named to the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Hospital Association. Sanders has served on WHA’s Advocacy Committee from 2008-2010, and is currently president of the Association’s southern region. His term begins January 2011.

“Mike will be a valued voice on the WHA Board as it wrangles with important issues that ultimately will affect healthcare access, quality and affordability in Wisconsin,” said WHA President Steve Brenton.

The Wisconsin Hospital Association represents 132 hospitals and health systems. It advocates on behalf of its members to enable them to continue to provide high quality, accessible healthcare services in Wisconsin communities. The WHA Board is charged with setting strategic direction and policy for the Association.

"It is certainly a time of great change and many challenges for health care in our country. I look forward to working with the Board to ensure an environment supportive of exceptional health care for all during these difficult times," said Michael Sanders.
