Monroe Clinic Transitions on March 12, 2022

As part of our commitment to providing exceptional care, SSM Health Monroe Hospital and SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group are transitioning to SSM Health's electronic health record system.

This Transition Will Impact

  • MonroeClinic.org will transition to SSMHealth.com
  • Old Monroe Clinic MyChart accounts will transition to SSM Health MyChart accounts
    • This allows you to access your SSM Health medical records
  • Billing statements and payment information will look different after the transition

To ensure continuity of care and continued access to specific patient information, select relevant information from patient records are being transferred.

After March 12, 2022 patients will only have access in their old Monroe Clinic MyChart to:

  • View past appointment information / health information
  • View past SSM Health Clinic bills for payment
  • Update personal demographics
  • Message customer service with billing questions

  • Communicate with your provider
  • Pay bills online

Changes to Patient Billing

SSM Health Monroe Hospital's patient billing statements are changing. Currently, you receive a single bill reflecting your combined hospital and clinic amounts. With the transition, you will receive separate bills for hospital and clinic charges. We plan to return to a single bill in the future.

  • If you have any outstanding balances due on your billing account(s) as of March 12, 2022 you will continue to receive statements for the amount due from SSM Health Monroe Hospital.
  • Services that occur on or after March 12, 2022 will be billed from your new account in the SSM Health system.

To enhance patient privacy, please be aware there will no longer be family accounts. Each patient will have his or her own account for services received on or after March 12, 2022.

Patients using SSM Health MyChart accounts are automatically enrolled in paperless billing. Billing statements will appear in MyChart and an email notification will be sent to you when a new statement from SSM Health is available.

  • If you would like to receive your notifications via text, you can set your preferences in MyChart by accessing the communication preferences in the account settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you have an SSM Health MyChart account: there will be no changes to your login information.
  • If you have both an SSM Health MyChart and a Monroe Clinic MyChart: you can continue to use your SSM Health MyChart username and password to log into SSM Health’s MyChart and use your Monroe Hospital username and password to log into Monroe Hospital's MyChart.
  • If you have a Monroe Clinic MyChart and don’t have an SSM Health MyChart account: a new SSM Health MyChart account will be automatically created for you on March 4, 2022.
    • You can log in using your Monroe Clinic MyChart username and password.
    • If your username is not available, your username will be the same with the addition of ‘.MC’ at the end.
      • As an example: JSMITH will become JSMITH.MC.
      • If this happens, MyChart will send you a message to your Monroe Hospital account.

  • Two-factor authentication is a security measure in place within SSM Health MyChart accounts. This feature can be turned on or off through your MyChart account settings.
  • Not all of your past information will transfer to the SSM Health system.
  • However, all of your information will be available through our medical records department and to our providers through an archival portal.
  • SSM Health Monroe Hospital's medical records department can be reached at 608-324-2235.

You will have access to view your old Monroe Clinic MyChart for until approximately March 12, 2023.

  • Please Note: changes made in your new SSM Health MyChart will not populate in your Monroe Hospital MyChart account.

After March 12, 2022 patients will only have access in their old Monroe Clinic MyChart to:

  • View past appointment information / health information
  • View past SSM Health Clinic bills for payment
  • Update personal demographics
  • Message customer service with billing questions
  • MyChart sends information through a secure interoperability network between healthcare providers, not over the internet.
  • Your information is exchanged only for the purposes of treatment, which is covered under HIPAA.
