Registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) are the experts in food and nutrition. Dietitian nutritionists provide medical nutrition therapy, which is evidence-based counseling, to help you prevent or manage medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, pre-diabetes, digestive disorders and weight challenges (underweight, overweight, obesity).
The RDNs work closely with you and your healthcare provider. Our RDNs will help you develop an eating plan that fits your health needs, lifestyle and food preferences. They are here to help you with practical ideas for moving towards a healthier lifestyle.
A healthcare provider referral is needed for this service.
Your first medical nutrition therapy visit with the RDN will take about one hour. After the first visit, follow-up visits for support and continued skill building are made as needed.
Let the Monroe Clinic registered dietitian nutritionists guide you through the maze of information out there to get you started on the eating plan that is right for you. Call 608-324-1964 to make an appointment today.
