From greeting hospital patients as they walk through the door to raising money to enhance our facilities, the volunteers of Monroe Clinic play a crucial role in our daily operations. If you are someone who is friendly, helpful, flexible and looking to learn new skills, we want to hear from you. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact volunteer services at 608-324-1569 or read on to learn more.
Our volunteers are active in many roles at Monroe Clinic. Some tasks include:
escorting people to different areas
assisting in event planning and fundraising efforts
stuffing, sealing and labeling mail
filing items, making copies, distributing magazines
entering information into computers
giving directions to patients
Some of the areas where volunteers are needed include:
Volunteers in Partnership (VIPs)
The purpose of Monroe Clinic VIPs is to offer non-direct care to benefit and supplement the mission of Monroe Clinic. VIPs help to promote community goodwill and understanding of Monroe Clinic, contribute funds for support of the mission, and provide yearly scholarships for students in the healthcare field.
At Monroe Clinic, we recognize that our young people have so much to offer through their enthusiasm, compassion and volunteerism. During the summer months, area youth, ages 14 to 19, enjoy the skill-building opportunities and personal enrichment our volunteen program offers them. All volunteens will be required to go through a health screening and orientation before they can begin.
We are proud to offer scholarships to Monroe High School graduates, graduates of high schools in our branch location communities, and continuing education scholarships to students who have completed one or more years of study in a medical field. 2021 applications closed February 28, 2021
